My dad is a colon cancer survivor. I have two cousins who have had colon cancer. From my understanding, this means I have elevated risks of getting colon cancer and need to have regular check-ups for colon cancer.
My dad had his whole cancer removed. When he was in recovery, he kept telling everyone that what he had gone through was really a grammatical edit. Before he had a colon, now he had a semi-colon. I told him that he should be relieved that he didn’t have a period!
